The engagement was announced 4 November, 2017, between Jamie Thomson, son of Lt-Col and Mrs Alexander Thomson, of Codford, Wiltshire, & Susannah Stirling Home Drummond Moray, scion of that landed family, daughter of John Robert Stirling Home Drummond Moray (b 14 Oct, 1943), of Kinross, Scotland, and Mrs Carole Stirling Home Drummond Moray, of London.
Susannah is a descendant of the Dukes of Buccleuch & Queensberry via her grandmother, the former Jeanetta Montagu Douglas Scott.
